Women's Soccer Releases Fall Slate

DALTON, Ga. — |FULL SCHEDULE| The Dalton State women's soccer program has announced its 2026 schedule, which includes a preseason road contest at Chattanooga, a home exhibition against Chattanooga State, and a competitive Southern States Athletic Conference slate.
 
"I feel like we have a good schedule this fall," Joshua Goebel, Dalton State women's soccer coach said. "We've added some strong opponents including Tennessee Wesleyan and XULA (Xavier University of Louisiana) who both made it to the NAIA National Tournament last fall."
 
The Lady Roadrunners open the 2026 schedule on Thursday, August 6, with an 11 a.m. preseason matchup at Chattanooga in Chattanooga, Tenn. Dalton State then hosts Chattanooga State on Friday, August 14, at 7:30 p.m. at Dalton Stadium.
 
Regular-season action begins with road matches at Tennessee Wesleyan on August 20 at 5 p.m. in Athens, Tenn., and Bryan (Tenn.) on August 22 at 7 p.m. in Dayton, Tenn. The Lady Roadrunners' regular-season home opener is scheduled for Friday, August 28, against Brenau (Ga.) at 7 p.m. at Dalton Stadium.
 
Dalton State continues non-conference play with a home contest against Milligan (Tenn.) on September 4, before hitting the road to matchup with Johnson (Tenn.) on September 7. SSAC play begins at home against Faulkner (Ala.) on Friday, September 11, at 7:30 p.m.
 
The Roadrunners remain at Dalton Stadium on Sunday, September 13, for a 1:30 p.m. conference match against Mobile (Ala.). Additional home SSAC matches include Xavier (La.) on September 25, William Carey (Miss.) on September 27, UT Southern  (Tenn.) on October 23, and Blue Mountain (Miss.) on October 25.
 
"We have a tough weekend on September 25 and 27 when we play Xavier (La.) then William Carey (Miss.)," Goebel added. "I'm really happy this is a homestand and am confident we can get some good results."
 
Dalton State's conference road schedule includes trips to Brewton-Parker (Ga.), Thomas (Ga.), Andrew (Ga.), Point (Ga.), ABAC (Ga.), Wesleyan (Ga.), and Life (Ga.). The Lady Birds visit Brewton-Parker (Ga.) on September 17, Thomas (Ga.) on September 19, Andrew (Ga.) on October 1, Point (Ga.) on October 3, ABAC (Ga.) on October 8, Wesleyan (Ga.) on October 10, and Life (Ga.) on October 17.
 
Goebel concluded saying, "The players and I are really excited for this season and are continuing to build on what we accomplished last fall."
 
Postseason competition begins with the SSAC Quarterfinals on October 30-31 at campus sites, followed by the SSAC semifinals and finals November 5-7 in Montgomery, Ala. The NAIA First and Second Rounds are scheduled for November 19-21 at campus sites, while the NAIA Women's Soccer Final Site will take place November 30-December 7 in Pensacola, Fla.
