Cross Country Runners Perform Well At National Meet

ELSAH, Ill. - Dalton State cross country runners gained a wealth of experience at the NAIA Cross Country National Championships at North Farm Cross Country Course in Elsah, IL on Saturday.

8025  Sophomore Emily Poole repeated as an All-American earning a 27th place finish.  Poole finished the race in 17:47, just above her personal best    time. "The race was tougher than most," said Poole.

"It had a lot of fast girls that helped push all of us.

The cold and wind was something that we haven't dealt with in a while but we all adjusted.

I personally enjoyed this entire experience greatly and I am super proud of everyone that raced today."

Natalie Hensley, in her final race as a Roadrunner, had a great performance finishing with a time of 19:19 to be the second runner from the SSAC over the finish line.
