ELSAH, Ill. - Dalton State cross country runners gained a wealth of experience at the NAIA Cross Country National Championships at North Farm Cross Country Course in Elsah, IL on Saturday.

 Sophomore
Emily Poole repeated as an All-American earning a 27th place finish. Poole finished the race in 17:47, just above her personal best  time. "The race was tougher than most," said Poole.Â
 "It had a lot of fast girls that helped push all of us.Â
 The cold and wind was something that we haven't dealt with in a while but we all adjusted.Â
 I personally enjoyed this entire experience greatly and I am super proud of everyone that raced today."
Natalie Hensley, in her final race as a Roadrunner, had a great performance finishing with a time of 19:19 to be the second runner from the SSAC over the finish line.
Freshman Ana Karen Padilla performed well in her first national meet, finishing with a time of 19:41.

David Murillo gained a lot of experience in their first year as collegiate runners. Gabelein would finish in a time of 26:31, while Murillo would cross the line in 27:08.
The off-season will be tough for both teams as they look to get stronger and build on successful seasons.
