Coach Bruna Langner said the Roadrunners had too many errors in the heart breaking 3-1 loss to the Golden Lions.
Michala Askew had 34 assists, four kills and 19 digs.
Kianna Delaney had 14 kills and 14 digs for Dalton State.
Savannah Nelson had eight kills and two assists. Martin Guntin had seven kills and six digs.
Wendy Perez had seven kills.
Anna Metzler added six kills and 12 digs.
Dalton State (5-8, 1-5) returns home for two weekend games at Bandy Gymnasium. The Roadrunners will host Bethel Friday night at 7 and Martin Methodist Saturday at noon.
