KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Dalton State's women's cross country team delivered a determined performance at the NAIA Appalachian Challenge at Sequoyah Park in Knoxville, Tennessee. Competing in the 5K race against a deep field of regional talent, the Lady Roadrunners showcased both individual grit and team depth.
 
Leading the charge was Kylie Gray, who turned in an impressive time of 19:10.07 to finish 43rd overall, setting the pace for Dalton State. Close behind her were Kate Girard and Marlene Paez, who placed 102nd and 105th respectively, with times just over 20 minutes. Their consistent efforts helped anchor the team's middle pack strength. Madison Todd and Allison Batts also contributed solid performances, finishing in 119th and 122nd place, respectively, both clocking just over 21 minutes.
 
Further down the lineup, Taylor Harris (24:45.43), Anna Anderson (24:55.69), and Kylie Brown (29:05.47) rounded out the team's results, demonstrating resilience and commitment in a competitive field.
 
This meet served as a valuable benchmark for the Lady Roadrunners as they prepare for the upcoming SSAC Championships in Oakville, Alabama. With Gray's standout run and a strong supporting cast, Dalton State is poised to make a statement in the conference finale.
