MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Maria Azarias of William Carey (Miss.) was named SSAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Brooke Alvarez of Dalton State (Ga.) was named SSAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. The awards are based on performance for the week of October 24-30.
 
Maria Azarias (William Carey – JR – MID – Sao Paulo, Brazil)

•       This is her second-straight honor
•       In only one game, she posted two goals and three assists
•       Azarias leads the NAIA with 19 assists on the year

Brooke Alvarez (Dalton State – JR – GK)

•       This is her fifth-career honor and second this season
•       Alvarez made seven saves and allowed only one goal in a 2-1 win at (RV) Middle Georgia
•       The victory allowed the Roadrunners to leapfrog Blue Mountain for the sixth and final spot in the SSAC playoffs
