The Dalton State Roadrunner women's volleyball team suffered their first loss of the year this morning to Marian College 3-1 in the Keiser University Invitational being held in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

The Roadrunners were led in scoring by Junior Middle Blocker Grace Hardin with 13 kills, 5 blocks, and 5 service aces. Fellow Juniors Cassandra Cox and Ryan Burke tallied 8 kills each. Junior Anna Metzler contributed with 6 kills of her own to go along with 9 digs.

The biggest bright spot for the Roadrunners was the play of Freshman setter Brooke Thomas. Thomas registered 28 assists taking over for 3-year starter Michala Askew who graduated this past May.
