Women's Soccer Falls To #3 Martin Methodist

DALTON, Ga. - The Dalton State women's soccer team lost a tough Southern States Athletic Conference match 6-0 to #3 Martin Methodist at Lakeshore Park on Saturday night.

The Lady Roadrunners battled hard defensively in the first half, slowing down the potent Redhawk attack. Martin Methodist would score 7:31 before the half when Riko Segura found the back of the net.

Dalton State would battle till the end, but just ran out of gas in the second half. Martin Methodist would add 5 more goals in the second half to close out the match.

The Roadrunners fall to 8-6-1, 3-4 in the Southern States, while Martin Methodist improves to 12-1-3, 6-0-1 in the SSAC.

Dalton State will host a first round Southern States Athletic Conference match at home. The time and date will be announced on Monday, October 31.
