Box Score Dalton, GA - Dalton State's women's soccer team took to the pitch Saturday as the first match of a double header with Middle Georgia College. Sophomore Brittany Jensen gave the Roadrunners the lead with a first half goal assisted by junior Juliana Gomez. The Knights evened the match at 1-1 with just over thirty minutes left in regulation. The score remained tied after ninety minutes so the match went into sudden death overtime. With less that two minutes remaining in the first ten minute overtime period, junior Juliana Gomez found freshman Adriana Romero in front of the goal for the game winner.
"I am excited about our overtime victory," said head coach Karem Daser. " Middle Georgia coach Vinny Gill is a good friend from the past and he always gets so much out of his players. His team is hard working and physical and it was a tough win."

Dalton State will travel to Mobile on Oct. 6 to play the University of Mobile in an SSAC match.
