Tomide Adabale scored the first and only goal of the first half for Dalton State.
In the second half, Dalton State flexed its might and pulled away with an explosive, offensive performance that saw the Roadrunners score four second half goals. Ibrahim Sossoka broke the tie early in the second half and gave Dalton State the 2-1 lead.
The Roadrunners didn't slow down and continued to create separation as
Tomide Adabale snuck his second goal of the game past the Brescia goalkeeper and stretched the Dalton State lead to 3-1.
As the game clock continued to tick away, the aggressive and physical play of the visiting Roadrunners pushed the Brescia Bearcats past their breaking point and late goals from
Tony Baza and Andreas Pena sealed 5-1 victory for Dalton State.
"It was a tough match," said Roadrunner Coach Kerem Daser. They scored first and with the follow-up goal by Tomide. we were very flat in the first half and I think they were motivated in their homecoming match. Ibrahim and Tomide scored two big goals to start the second half. They were the difference in the second half. Tony scored a great header from freshman Ramiro Guerroro. Freshman
Miguel Hernandez gave a great pass on a breakaway goal to Andreas. I was pleased with the second half effort, but we still need to play complete 90 minute games."
With the win, Dalton State moves to 5-1-1 on the season.
