The Dalton State volleyball team defeated visiting Loyola of New Orleans in straight sets Friday night as part of a senior night celebration at Bandy Gymnasium on the Dalton State campus.

Senior Michala Askew had 32 assists and a dozen digs for the Roadrunners. Marta Guntin had nine kills and nine digs. Anna Metzler and Savannah Nelson each added kills each. Karly Newman had nine digs.

Dalton State ((12-13, 6-9 SSAC) host the Univerity of Mobile Saturday at noon.

Dalton State seniors Michala Askew and Kianna Delaney were recognized during Friday's senior night as was Southeast Whitfield three sports star Rana Mashburn.  Rana's family was on hand to receive gifts from the team.
