No. 1 Dalton State Women's Golf Headed Back to NAIA Women's Golf National Championship As Top Seed After Field Announcement

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Top-ranked Dalton State women's golf is officially bound for the sport's biggest stage after the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced the 30-team field and six individual qualifiers for the 2026 NAIA Women's Golf National Championship, set for May 19–22 at Eagle Crest Golf Club in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Dalton State earned its place in the championship as an automatic qualifier, positioning the No. 1 Roadrunners to pursue a national title in what will be the 31st annual NAIA Women's Golf National Championship. The four-day tournament will bring together automatic qualifiers and at-large selections from across the country, with pairings and first- and second-round tee times to be announced Monday, May 11 at NAIA.org.

NATIONAL STAGE RETURNS TO EAGLE CREST
Eagle Crest will host the NAIA National Championship for the second time, welcoming a field that includes the defending champion British Columbia, which is back in 2026 as an automatic qualifier out of the Cascade Collegiate Conference.

British Columbia enters with history on the line: If the Thunderbirds repeat as champions, they would take over the NAIA record for Red Banners, bringing their total to eight. The national landscape has been dominated recently by British Columbia and Keiser (Fla.), which have combined to win the last six NAIA Women's Golf National Championships, UBC winning four and Keiser winning two. Keiser returns this year as an at-large selection from The Sun Conference.

CONFERENCES STACK THE FIELD
Several leagues will be heavily represented in Michigan. The Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC), the Southern States Athletic Conference, and the Mid-South Conference each placed three teams in the national field. That total trails only the Appalachian Athletic Conference and The Sun Conference, which led all leagues with four teams apiece in the championship.

HOW TO FOLLOW
Fans will be able to watch the championship on the Urban Edge Network and the NAIA Network, with production by The National Golf Network. Broadcast links and viewing options are available at www.naia.org/watch, while live results, leaderboards, and tournament statistics will be tracked via the Clippd Scoreboard.
