5/8/2026 11:45:00 PM

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Dalton State women's golf secured 16 of 17 first-place votes and held steady at No. 1 in the final edition of the NAIA Women's Golf Coaches' Top 25, the NAIA announced. The Lady Roadrunners finished the poll with 467 points, maintaining their position atop the national rankings heading into the postseason.

Dalton State's top ranking comes as the NAIA field finalizes preparations for the 2026 NAIA Women's Golf National Championship, scheduled for May 19–22 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The Lady Birds enter the championship stretch as the consensus No. 1 team in the country, earning all but one first-place vote in the closing coaches' poll.

Keiser (Fla.) remained No. 2 with 449 points, while SCAD Savannah (Ga.) collected the remaining first-place nod and climbed to No. 3 with 437 points. Marian (Ind.) checked in at No. 4 (425), followed by SCAD Atlanta (Ga.) at No. 5 (407) to round out the top five.

The final poll also reflected notable movement among teams jockeying for position ahead of nationals. Milligan (Tenn.) posted the biggest jump, rising from No. 25 to No. 20 (178 points) to solidify a place in the national championship field. Truett McConnell (Ga.) also surged up the rankings, moving from No. 21 to No. 18 (213 points).

Dalton State's No. 1 ranking in the final coaches' poll underscores the Roadrunners' consistent performance throughout the season and positions the program as a primary contender as postseason play begins.
