DALTON, Ga. — Dalton State men's golf added another banner postseason haul as Ben Rickett was named Coach of the Year, Ben McFadden earned Player of the Year, and Scott Frisby collected Freshman of the Year honors, highlighting a strong Roadrunners showing across the league's awards list.
 
Rickett's recognition continues a remarkable run for the Roadrunners' program. With this year's selection, Rickett has now claimed eight Coach of the Year honors, while Blue Mountain Christian's Kevin Barefield receives the first Coach of the Year recognition of his career.
 
McFadden's Player of the Year honor extends Dalton State's dominance at the top of the conference, marking the 10th-straight season a Roadrunner has earned the award. Over that decade-long stretch, six different Dalton State golfers have captured Player of the Year recognition.
 
Frisby's Freshman of the Year award underscores the program's continued pipeline of impact talent. Dalton State's young core also made noise at the SSAC Championship, where Leo Testas posted a pair of under-par rounds to finish third, while Frisby fired a final-round three-under to place eighth. Additionally, Hugo Griesheimer carded a closing 71 on day three to finish inside the top 10.
 
Beyond the major awards, Dalton State placed multiple athletes on the all-conference teams. McFadden, Tyler Latimer, and Frisby each earned First-Team All-Conference honors, while John Brady Knight was selected Second-Team All-Conference.
 
Dalton State's depth was further reflected on the All-Freshman Team, with Frisby and Knight both earning recognition.
 
In the classroom and in the community, the Roadrunners also stood out. Joe Getley, Dylan John, and Barrett Loftis were named to the Athletic Solutions All-Academic Team, and Frisby added a spot on the conference Champions of Character Team.
