Wire-to-Wire at Mossy Oak: #12 Dalton State Men’s Golf Wins the BMCU Spring Classic by Six

WEST POINT, Miss. – Competing at Mossy Oak Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday, #12 Dalton State controlled the BMCU Spring Classic from start to finish, posting team rounds of +11, +12, and +11 to finish +34 and capture a six-shot victory over #2 Reinhardt in a 16-team field.

ROUND 1
Dalton State opened with a composed +11 to grab the overnight lead at Mossy Oak. The Roadrunners were the only team to keep the first-round damage to +11 or better, edging out Coastal Georgia (+14) and creating early separation from William Carey (+16), Reinhardt (+18) and host Blue Mountain (+18). John Brady Knight carded an even-par round to anchor the effort and stabilize the counting numbers.
 
ROUND 2
Conditions continued to demand patience, and the Roadrunners answered with a +12 second round to move to +23 for the tournament. While Reinhardt posted +10 to climb the board, Dalton State still extended the lead to five shots heading into the final day thanks to steady cards throughout the lineup.
 
ROUND 3
Showing the same poise it displayed all tournament, Dalton State matched its opening-round number with another +11 to finish at +34, good for a six-stroke win over Reinhardt (+40). Blue Mountain secured third at +51, with William Carey and Coastal Georgia sharing fourth at +53, and Point (Ga.) sixth at +59.
