MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Dalton State's Luis Carrasco has been selected to the 2025 Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete Team, recognizing his excellence in the classroom and on the pitch.
 
Carrasco carries a 4.0 cumulative GPA, making him one of only three honorees with a perfect mark this year. He meets the SSAC's Scholar-Athlete standards, which require student-athletes to be sophomores or above in academic and athletic standing, starters or key reserves, hold at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA, and have competed in at least 50% of their team's contests (graduate students and transfers must have completed one semester at their institution).
 
On the field, Carrasco started all 17 matches for Dalton State, contributing 2 goals and 1 assist (5 points). He produced 8 shots, with 5 on frame (62.5% SOG rate), underscoring his efficiency in the final third.
