OPELIKA, Ala. - #7-ranked Dalton State secured a convincing victory at the RTJ Golf Trail at Grand National GC – Lakes Course in Opelika, Ala. on Friday and Saturday winning the LTU Spring Break Invitational by 33 strokes as Jia Kataria earned individual medalist honors in the process.
 
#7 Dalton State (Ga.) at 913 (+49) got their first team victory of the season with #18 Cumberlands (Ky.) in second at 946 (+82). (RV) Doane (Neb.) (996, +132) was third with tournament host Lawrence Tech (Mich.) in fourth at 1005 (+141). SSAC foe (RV) Faulkner (Ala.) rounded out the top-5 at 1012 (+148).

RECAP
Individual performances were a significant highlight of the tournament. Jia Kataria led the team with impressive rounds, shooting 3-under in the second and third rounds, demonstrating her prowess and contributing massively to the team's success. Hanna Bullard and Tylah James also put forth commendable efforts, with Bullard scoring +2 in the third round and James adding a +5 in the second round.
 
UP NEXT
#7 Dalton State will be back at home on March 31-April 1 when they host the Roadrunner Invitational. There will be a new host site this season as the tournament will be held at Dalton Golf & Country Club.
