KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Dalton State women's golf placed three student-athletes on the 2025-26 NAIA All-America teams after one of the strongest seasons in program history, with Jia Kataria and Sara Burger earning First-Team All-America honors and Reese Day being named a Third-Team All-American.

The national recognition follows a standout season for the Lady Roadrunners, who finished runner-up at the 2026 NAIA Women's Golf National Championship, falling by just one stroke to SCAD Savannah. Kataria also came within one shot of an individual national title, placing second overall.

Kataria, a junior from New Delhi, India, capped one of the top seasons in the country by finishing No. 1 in the final Clippd NAIA women's rankings. She posted a 71.0 adjusted scoring average over 27 rounds, recorded four tournament victories, and finished with eight top-three performances.

Her wins came at the Seahawk Shootout, Lady Roadrunner Fall Invite, Currahee Club Invitational, and the 2026 SSAC Women's Golf Championship.

She also repeated as SSAC Player of the Year and won the conference individual title with a 7-under-par 209, setting a conference championship record while helping Dalton State claim the league title by 53 strokes. Kataria was also named First-Team All-SSAC. In May, she was named the WGCA NAIA Player of the Year for her tremendous season.

Burger, a Dalton native, also turned in an elite season and finished No. 3 nationally in the Clippd rankings. She posted a 72.0 adjusted scoring average across 27 rounds, won two tournaments, and added five top-three finishes. Her victories came at The Invite at Innisbrook and the Carey Collegiate.

Burger's consistency played a key role in Dalton State's postseason run. She placed third at both the Kinderlou Forest Spring Invite and the SSAC Championship, where she opened with a 70 and finished third overall at 4-over 220. She joined Kataria as a First-Team All-SSAC selection.

Day made an immediate impact in her freshman season, earning Third-Team All-America honors after emerging as one of the SSAC's top newcomers. She finished the season with a 76.8 adjusted scoring average over 24 rounds and rose to No. 60 nationally in the Clippd rankings.

Among Day's top performances were a seventh-place finish at the BMCU Spring Classic, 10th at the Kinderlou Forest Spring Invite, 11th at the Lady Roadrunner Spring Invite, and a tie for fifth at the SSAC Championship. Her play earned her SSAC Freshman of the Year honors, along with Second-Team All-SSAC, SSAC All-Freshman Team, and All-Tournament Team recognition at the conference championship.

Together, Kataria, Burger, and Day anchored a Dalton State lineup that spent the year among the NAIA's best. The Roadrunners climbed to No. 1 in the national team rankings during the season and remained in contention for the program's first women's golf national championship.
