#18-Ranked Roadrunners Dominate Reinhardt (Ga.), Improve To 3-0 with 104-64 Road Win


WALESKA, Ga. – 18th-ranked Dalton State stayed perfect on the season with a commanding 104-64 victory over Reinhardt (Ga.) on Sunday afternoon in Waleska. Dalton State showcased offensive efficiency and depth, pulling away early and never looking back.
 
RECAP
FIRST HALF
Dalton State set the tone from the opening tip, jumping out to a quick lead behind strong play from starters Qualen Pettus and Kota Benson. The Roadrunners shot 50% from the field in the first half and built a 52-28 advantage at the break. Benson led the early charge with 14 first-half points, while Pettus added 10. Dalton State's defense forced six first-half turnovers, converting them into transition opportunities and dominating the glass with a 25-11 rebounding edge.
 
SECOND HALF
The Roadrunners didn't let up after halftime, shooting an impressive 65.5% from the floor and 63.6% from three-point range in the second half. Dalton State's bench provided a huge spark, scoring 39 points overall, highlighted by Santonio McDaniel's perfect 4-for-4 shooting and two triples for 10 points. Pettus continued his hot hand, finishing with 18 points, while Benson and Tripp Beatty combined for 22. Dalton State extended its lead to as many as 40 points late in the game, sealing the dominant win.
