MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Dalton State Soccer turned a season of steady growth into a postseason haul as the SSAC announced its 2025 awards. Headlining the Roadrunners' list of honorees, forward Sergej Misic was chosen SSAC Newcomer of the Year after an immediate impact in his debut campaign. He was one of three First-Team All-Conference selections for the men, joined by senior midfielder Jaime Mendiola and defender Luis Carrasco. Jesus Huitanda and Hugo Martinez added Second-Team All-Conference nods, while Martinez was also recognized on the league's Champions of Character Team.
 
On the women's side, Amy Wearing anchored the midfield en route to First-Team All-Conference honors. The attacking/defensive tandem of Lexi Lyon and Maggie Rickerd earned Second-Team All-Conference recognition, and both were named to the All-Freshman Team, underscoring the program's youthful core. Veteran Ana Silva represented the Lady Roadrunners on the Champions of Character Team.
 
Classroom excellence matched the on-field accolades. Dalton State placed 16 student-athletes on the Athletic Solutions All-Academic Team, including women's honorees Abigail Butte, Andrea Dominguez, Tania Dominguez, Carol Anne Giannamore, Margaret Rickerd, Ana Silva, Lauren Wright, Lexi Lyon, Amy Wearing, and Sophia Calkins, along with men's recipients Vinicius Novo, Fabio Barbosa, Sohail Ebrahimi, Lucas Hanchar, Bernardo Manzano, and Luis Carrasco.
