#14 Dalton State Claims Victory At Bojangles Tennessee Invitational

VONORE, Tenn. – #14-ranked Dalton State delivered a dominant performance at the Bojangles Invitational, held at The Links at Kahite in Vonore, Tenn., overcoming challenging conditions and a weather-shortened format to secure the team title.
 
The Roadrunners posted a two-round total of 2-under-par, edging out Reinhardt University by a single stroke. Dalton State opened with a scorching 6-under-par in Round 1 and held steady with a +4 in Round 2. Reinhardt finished at 1-under-par after a strong second round surge.

  • #14 Dalton State – -2 (RD1: -6, RD2: +4)
  • #2 Reinhardt – -1 (RD1: +1, RD2: -2)
  • Grand View – +16 (RD1: +15, RD2: +1)
  • Midway – +22 (RD1: +14, RD2: +8)
  • #21 Northwestern Ohio – +22 (RD1: +13, RD2: +9)
ROUND 1
Dalton State came out firing in Round 1, posting a stellar 6-under-par team score to take the early lead. Freshman Scott Frisby led the charge with a brilliant 4-under-par 68, carding multiple birdies and showcasing precision on the greens. Tyler Latimer followed closely with a strong 3-under-par 69, while John Brady Knight added a solid even-par 72 to the team's total. Barrett Loftis contributed a steady +1, 73, rounding out the top four scores. Despite a tough day for Ben McFadden, who finished at +9, the team's depth ensured a commanding position heading into Round 2.
 
ROUND 2
With weather threatening the final round, Dalton State knew Round 2 would be critical—and the Roadrunners responded with grit. Ben McFadden bounced back impressively, firing a 2-under-par round to climb into a tie for 25th overall. Scott Frisby continued his consistent play with a 1-under-par round, finishing tied for 2nd. Tyler Latimer added a +1, 73 to finish 7th, while John Brady Knight carded the final keeper at +5, 77. Barrett Loftis shot 83 as the fifth score.

#14-ranked Dalton State ends the Fall season with consecutive victories that will carry momentum into the Spring stretch that begins in February.
