MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Dalton State redshirt freshman goalkeeper Maggie Rickerd has been named the SSAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week of October 6–11, as announced by the Southern States Athletic Conference and presented by WinWon.
 
Rickerd, a Chattanooga, Tenn. native, earned her first-career weekly honor after delivering two shutout victories for the Roadrunners. She totaled 10 saves across the week, including a standout nine-save performance in a 1-0 win over Thomas University. Her efforts anchored a strong defensive showing and helped Dalton State maintain momentum in conference play.
 
Rickerd's recognition highlights her growing impact in goal and marks a significant milestone early in her collegiate career.
