DALTON, Ga. – Seven Dalton State student-athletes have been named Daktronics Scholar-Athletes by the NAIA over the past week. Women's track and field leads with three selections, with men's golf and women's golf notching two each. Women's golf student-athlete Ella Cress makes the list for the first time, while the other six have made the list at least once previously.
 
To be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and have attended one full year at said institution.
