#1 Roadrunners Claim First SSAC Tournament Championship


MONTGOMERY, Ala. – #1-ranked Dalton State completed the task on Saturday night coming away with their first SSAC Tournament Championship with a 1-0 win over #3 Mobile (Ala.) in the finals of the 2024 SSAC Men's Soccer Championship presented by Newk's Eatery at Emory Folmar YMCA Soccer Complex in Montgomery, Ala.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF
  • (1-0 DS) DS: An own goal from Mobile off a Roadrunner corner proved the difference in the match.
SECOND HALF

THE REST OF THE STORY
#1 Dalton State (Ga.) improves to (17-0-2 overall) on the season with the win, while #3 Mobile (Ala.) falls to (16-3-1 overall) with the loss. Mobile outshot Dalton State 8-4 overall but the Birds held a 2-1 clip on frame.
 
UP NEXT
#1 Dalton State will advance to the NAIA Men's Soccer Championship. They await seeding that will be announced on November 16 to know their opponent.
