MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Lexi Lyon of Dalton State (Ga.) was named SSAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday. The awards are based on performance for the week of Oct. 7-13.

Lexi Lyon (Dalton State – FR – Dalton, Ga.)

• This is her first-career honor
• Lyon finished 4^th at the Nooga at Night 5K event
• She turned in a time of 18:09, which is a PR
