THE REST OF THE STORY
Dalton State (Ga.) falls to (15-11 overall, 10-8 SSAC) with the loss, while Talladega (Ala.) improves to (11-15 overall, 5-13 SSAC) with the win. Donavan Miller concluded the night with a final bucket, giving him 11 points. Dalton native, Franklin Almonte led the Roadrunners in scoring with 13 points, 7 of those coming from the free throw line.

Ethelbert Anum led Talladega and all scorers with 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting with 7 rebounds. Corey Sands followed up with an impressive performance of his own, scoring 17 points while going 3-5 from behind the 3-point line.

BY THE NUMBERS
The Birds struggled to be efficient in the first half shooting 39% (9-for-23), and 20% from behind the 3-point line (2-for-10). That story stayed consistent in the second half as the Roadrunners were still struggling to get things going from beyond the 3-point mark, shooting 21% (3-for-14). The Tornadoes' ability to hit clutch shots whenever Dalton State would make their way back into the fold kept the game in check for the duration of the second half. Talladega's efficiency during the back half portion of play was the ultimate difference, shooting almost 55% (12-for-22), and 66% from long range (4-for-6).
