  • DS reached double-digits in points with 8:38 remaining but were still in the game after some great defensive play, trailing by 9 points (20-11).

THE SECOND HALF

  • UTS extended the lead back to 11 points (44-33) with 11:20 to go after field goals from Kendall Wright and C.J. Greer.
  • With the score 51-41 and 6:12 left to play, Carterius Evans began and ended a 6-0 run to whittle the UT Southern advantage to 4 points.
  • The FireHawks responded with a big three-pointer to ease the bleeding as the score stood at 54-47 with 3:21 remaining in regulation.
