Women Remain At #4 While Men Crack Top-10 In Latest NAIA Top 25 Polls

4/8/2022 3:09:00 PM

WOMEN
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The NAIA Women's Golf Coaches' Top 25 Poll is largely unchanged from last week as there was no movement inside the Top 12 and the same 25 teams are represented. Places 16-20 feature the biggest change of team ranks, but Oklahoma City is still the clear-cut No. 1 team grabbing 16 first-place votes. Keiser (Fla.) was awarded the other three. The Lady Roadrunners of Dalton State held down the #4 spot overall for the second consecutive poll going into their home event on Monday and Tuesday, April 11 & 12.

By The Numbers
This is the 51st NAIA Top 25 Coaches Poll to be released since the women's golf program has been eligible for national rankings. Of the 51, Dalton State has been ranked in all 51 polls. They have been ranking inside the top-15 in all 51 polls, in the top-10 47 times and in the top-5 41 times. The highest ranking the Lady Roadrunners have achieved in program history is #1 on the May 13, 2021 poll.

Poll Methodology
• The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences.
• Each conference is represented by one rater.
• The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each voter ranks the best teams. A team receives 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second-place and so on through the list.
• The highest and lowest ranking for each team (a non-rating is considered a low rating) is removed and the team's ranking will be recalculated with an additional point added to each team for every ballot (including discounted ballots) that the teams appear on.
• Teams that receive only one point in the ballot are not considered "receiving votes.
