NEW ORLEANS, La. – Dalton State led for most of the first half and kept the game close in the second half but #2 Loyola (La.) proved too much as the Wolf Pack defeated the Roadrunners 91-80 in Southern States Athletic Conference action at The Den in New Orleans, La. on Thursday night.
Rodley Adjei tied the school-record for three pointers made in a game with 8 as he led the Birds with 27 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. Three other Roadrunners scored in double-figures with
Antares Gwyn netting 16 points and 5 boards, while
Donavan Miller and
Jaelin Ferrell scored 11 points each.
Loyola was led by Zach Wrightsil with 27 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists. Myles Burns also had a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds, with Brandon Davis scoring 23 points and adding 9 assists. Terry Smith Jr. was the last Wolf Pack player in double-digits with 10 points.
Dalton State will stay on the road and head to Hattiesburg, Miss. to take on William Carey (Miss.) on Saturday, February 12. Tip-Off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. (CT).
