  • (2-0 DS) DS: A corner kick led to the 2nd goal when Josh Ramos nudged a pass to Noah Cicoria in the scrum to give DS a two-goal lead in the 23'.
  • (3-0 DS) DS: Justin Riescher scored his 1st goal of the match in the 32' on yet another penalty kick.
SECOND HALF
  • (4-0 DS) DS: Riescher collected a rebounded pass that knocked off the falling Faulkner goalkeeper in the 56' and kicked it into the net.
  • (5-0 DS) DS: Eliseo Padilla scored the first of two DS goals in the final 10 minutes of play when he sent a rocket from the right side of the 6-yard box into goal.
  • (6-0 DS) DS: Matheus Fineto Gamileira cleaned up the trash in front of net in the 86' scoring off a rebound the Faulkner netminder could not corral.
THE REST OF THE STORY
#3 Dalton State (Ga.) improves (9-0-3 overall, 2-0-1 SSAC) with the win, while Faulkner (Ala.) falls to (4-6-1 overall, 1-2-1) with the loss. Justin Riescher led all scorers with 2 goals. Leonardo Seixas continued his great play on the season with a goal and an assist.

Noah Cicoria, Eliseo Padilla, and Matheus Fineto Gamileira each scored a goal with Josh Ramos getting an assist on Cicoria's goal. It was another clean sheet for Michael Barrueta who kept the shutout in tact with a beautiful penalty kick save in the 56' after his own yellow card drew a foul as he was trying to stop an oncoming attack.

Defensively, the Roadrunners were once again stout allowing just two total shots, both on goal, with one coming by way of penalty kick. In contrast, the Birds took 27 shots with over half (14) coming on frame.
