Athletic Program Has Another Great Semester In The Classroom

DALTON, Ga. – The 2021 Fall semester was once again a successful one in the classroom for the Dalton State athletic program. In all, 27 student-athletes were named to the Dean's List, 7 walked across the stage at Fall Commencement earning their degree, and 1 was named SSAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the 2nd straight year.
 
As a department 102 student-athletes combined for an average GPA of 3.06 with 63 having a grade point average above 3.0. There were 19 perfect 4.0 GPA's. The cross country/track & field team once again led the department with 3.67 team GPA. Men's golf was 2nd at 3.38 and women's golf 3rd at 3.36.
 
Kathryn Vradenburgh was once again named the SSAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Vradenburgh also brought the award home in 2020. The junior from Chattanooga, Tenn. won the individual title at the SSAC Championship and finished the NAIA Championship as an All-American.
