PULASKI, Tenn. – #11 Dalton State notched win number two on the young season with a 2-0 road win over UT Southern at Grissom Pitch in Pulaski, Tenn. on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF

(1-0 DS) DS: Justin Riescher got the Birds on the board early with a goal in the 3'.

SECOND HALF

(2-0 DS) DS: Connor Nixon and Balmore Cruz connected late in the 90' to put the match on ice.

THE REST OF THE STORY
Dalton State (Ga.) improves to 2-1 overall with the win, while UT Southern falls to 0-1 overall with the loss. The Birds held stout defensively as Michael Barrueta snagged 2 saves in net and the back line made shots difficult for the FireHawks.

Both Justin Riescher and Connor Nixon got their 2^nd goals of the season, while Balmore Cruz gets his first career assist.
