Lady Roadrunner Quartet Named To WGCA All-American List

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association has announced the 2020-21 student-athlete and coaches awards for NAIA Women's Collegiate Golf. The awards are selected by a prestigious collection of women's collegiate golf coaches. For more information, please visit www.wgcagolf.com.

Dalton State placed 4 golfers on the All-American squad with freshman Mailey Buzzell and sophomore Sydney Hermann garnering 2nd team honors. Both ladies competed in 9 events with neither finishing outside the top-15 during regular tournament play. Buzzell collected 2 wins, 7 top-5's, and 8 top-10's with a scoring average of 74.75, while Hermann netted 4 top-5's and 7 top-10's with a scoring average of 76.37.

Cameron Daniel and Isabel Rijos made honorable mention. Daniel racked up 5 top-5's and 7 top-10's in 9 tournaments played while recorded a scoring average of 76.52. This is the 2nd mention on the WGCA list for Rijos who made the inaugural team last season. In her final year as a Lady Bird she had a 77.56 scoring average with a best finish of 3rd on 3 occasions.

About the Women's Golf Coaches Association
The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 650 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
