TALLADEGA, Ala. - Freshman Emily Darnell did all the scoring for the Lady Roadrunners as Dalton State defeated Talladega (Ala.) 4-0 in non-conference soccer action at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Ala. on Tuesday evening.

Freshman Emily Darnell did it all collecting all four Lady Roadrunner goals. She now has seven total on the season. Darnell did her damage on nine shots with all coming on goal. Andrea Soto Calderon picked up and assist on one of Darnell's goals.

THE REST OF THE STORY
Dalton State (Ga.) improves to (3-1 overall) with the win, while Talladega (Ala.) falls to (0-2 overall) with the loss. The Lady Birds held a distinct advantage in shots at a 16-4 clip. Brooke Alvarez also got the shutout with four saves.

The Lady Roadrunners will host Martin Methodist (Tenn.) as part of a doubleheader with the men's team on Saturday, November 7. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
