Men's Soccer Caps Regular Season With Victory Over Brewton-Parker


MOUNT VERNON, Ga.  – (RV) Dalton State concluded the regular season with a 2-0 victory over Brewton-Parker (Ga.) in Southern States Athletic Conference action in Mount Vernon on Tuesday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • (1-0 DS): After a scoreless first half, Amin Saheb Ettabaa connected for his sixth goal of the season in the 46' to give the Roadrunners the lead.
  • (2-0 DS): Noah Thomas finished off scoring in the 53' when he went in unassisted to give the Birds a two-score lead.
 
THE REST OF THE STORY
(RV) Dalton State (Ga.) improves to (13-4-1 overall, 5-3 SSAC) with the win, while Brewton-Parker (Ga.) falls to (7-9-1 overall, 2-6 SSAC) with the loss. Thomas and Saheb Ettabaa each tallied goal number six on the year in the win. Aaron Fraire produced another clean sheet with his seventh shutout of the season. The Birds held a decisive advantage in shots at 16-1 and in shots on goal at 9-0.
 
UP NEXT
The Roadrunners will host an SSAC Quarterfinal match on Saturday, Nov. 9 when they welcome (RV) Martin Methodist (Tenn.) back to town. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. at Lakeshore Park Soccer Complex.
