MOBILE, Ala. – (RV) Dalton State played tough, but once again came up short in a one-goal game to Mobile as the #8 Rams defeated the Roadrunners 1-0 in SSAC action at The Jungle in Mobile, Ala. on Thursday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED

(UM 1-0): Guzman Diaz found Victor Pimental for the only goal of the evening in the 42'.

THE REST OF THE STORY
(RV) Dalton State (Ga.) falls to (11-2-1 overall, 3-1 SSAC) with the loss, while #8 Mobile (Ala.) improves to (13-1-1 overall, 5-0-1 SSAC) with the win. The Roadrunners had their attempts, but could not convert. The last shot was taken by Santiago Moore with 17 ticks on the clock as Dalton State looked to send the match into overtime, but the shot traveled wide.

The Rams won the shot battle 11-10, but DS clipped them in shots on goal, 6-3. Noah Thomas and Santiago Moore led the Roadrunners in shots with two each, while Aaron Fraire tallied two saves in net.

In six total matches between the two squads, five have ended in a one-goal margin. Of those five, four have ended in a 1-0 score with Mobile winning all four contest.
