Women's Soccer Ties Freed-Hardeman

Two games in two days takes its toll.

Dalton State is 3-1-1 in its first season.
Box Score Henderson, TN. – Dalton State's women's soccer team (3-1-1) tied the Freed-Hardeman (FHU) Lady Lions 2-2 less than twenty-four hours after garnering its first ever victory over a nationally ranked opponent.
The Roadrunners scored twice in the second half only to see FHU match them with two of their own in a frenzied comeback that forced overtime. The two overtime periods produced no additional goals and the game ended in a draw.
Junior Juliana Gomez and freshman Asmara Holmes tallied for the Roadrunners and Rosie Lindo assisted on one goal.
"We are banged up with injuries and need to rest up after two days of matches", said head coach Karem Daser.
The team travels to Milligan College, TN on September 6th to play the Buffaloes of Milligan. Live video will be available through the DSroadrunners.com site.
