Henderson, Tn. - The first year Dalton State women's soccer team pulled off a big road win Saturday night as they scored two first half goals and held on to defeat No. 14 Campbellsville, KY.

The Roadrunner's Jordan Bernard scored the first DS goal 5:57 into the game on a corner kick from Rosie Lindo. Brittany Jensen added a second goal with 18:11 remaining in the half on gorgeous assist from Junior Diana Hitesan . The Tigers scored one goal in the second half, but it was too little, too late. "I'm so excited. I'm speechless," said a proud Dalton State Coach Kerem Daser after the game. "Tonight's win was amazing for our young program. We will rest and get ready for another big match tomorrow!" The Roadrunners (3-1 overall, 0-0 SSAC) will remain in Henderson, TN. for a 3:00 p.m. Saturday game against the hosts from Freed-Hardeman University.
