Lady Roadrunners Drop Match To Faulkner

DALTON, Ga. - The Dalton State Women's soccer team fell to Faulkner University 1-0 in double-overtime on Thursday night in Southern States Athletic Conference play at Lakeshore Park.

The Lady Roadrunners fall back to .500 at 5-5-1 overall and 1-3 in the SSAC. Faulkner improves to 4-7-1 overall and 1-2 in the Southern States.

The defensive standout of the night was Goalkeeper Rachel Hardin. The Junior from Lakeside High School in Augusta, Georgia had four big saves in the contest.

Dalton State was outshot in the game 12-11 and could not convert on 5 corner kicks.

The Lady Roadrunners return to action on Sunday, October 16 when they travel to Hunstville, AL to face Oakwood University.
