Box Score Basketball Rolls Past Hiwassee College Madisonville, TN – Twelve Dalton State Basketball Roadrunners played and all 12 scored Tuesday night as they defeated Hiwassee College, 89-54.
The Roadrunners led in just about all categories against the outgunned Tigers. Dalton State out rebounded Hiwassee 56-36, had 17 assists to the Tigers' six, and 13 steals to three. Dalton State was 9-14 (64.29) in free throws to Hiwassee's 12-24 (50%).
Jordan Bowling hit four of six shots from beyond the arch to score a game-high 17 points. He also had six rebounds while playing only 18:18.
Preston Earle hit four of seven from three-point-range on his way to a 14 point performance in 19:27 of playing time.
Anthony Hilliard just played 18:46, but scored 13 points.
Ladaris Green saw 18:55 and scored eight points. He had 13 rebounds with ten of those in the first half.
Jamaine Burrey scored eight point in a little over 17 minutes.
Raheem Mosley had seven points in 19 minutes, 18 seconds.
Sean Tate played 12 seconds longer than half the game. He scored six points by going 2-3 from three. Tate had no foul shot opportunities on the night.
Deshawn Ruffin had four points and five rebounds.
Clynt Bell,
Dylan Smith, Nate Terry, and Rico Williams each scored three. Smith had the most playing time (21:42). Williams had the least (7:18). Rico scored all three of his points at the foul line (3-4).
"The team came out on fire and ready to play from the start and the bench responded well when called upon," said Dalton State Coach Tony Ingle. "

Jacob Elliott led Hiwassee with 11 points and six rebounds.
The Roadrunners jumped out to a 27-6 lead with Green's three-point-shot with 11:51 left in the half. His second three pointer of the half, with five minutes remaining, put the visitor's up 35-12. The teams swapped shots the remainder of the half for the 45-22 half-time score.
Dalton State scored the first seven points of the second half and went on to a 36 point lead (60-24) on a Bowling three pointer with 15:56 on the game clock. The Roadrunners then cruised to the victory.
Dalton State (4-0) now ventures into the first official SSAC Competition as they visit Faulkner University (4-0). The Roadrunners travel to Montgomery on Thursday to play the Eagles Friday at 8:30 p.m. EST (7:30 p.m. in Montgomery).
The next home game is Tuesday, November 25
th, when Tennessee Temple visits Mashburn Arena at the Northwest Georgia Trade and Convention Center. The Roadrunners and Crusaders will tip-off at 7:30 p.m.
Hiwassee (0-8) will visit Cullowhee, NC on Friday to play NCAA D-1 Western Carolina University
