Dalton State College Athletics

Emily Poole is a sophomore from Heritage High School in Ringgold, Ga.

Heritage High has been very good for Dalton State Cross Country and Poole has continued that tradition.  She was the 2015 Runner of the Year and Freshman of the Year for the Southern States Athletic Conference. She was also on the All-Conference and All-Freshman teams.

Emily won two races in 2015 including the SSAC Championship. She receive NAIA All-America honors after finishing 17th at the NAIA National Championships to lead Dalton State to a 24th place finish.

Poole was the top Roadrunner finisher in every meet. Her fastest 2015 time was in the 5K (18:04.20) came at the NAIA National Championships in Charlotte, NC. She also had an impressive 22:41.30 in winning the 6-K North Georgia Invitational.
