Personal:
Ty is a proud product of Southeast Whitfield High School in Dalton, Ga. He transferred back home after one season at Oglethorpe University. He is a Business Management major at Dalton State with hopes of moving up in the business world and assuming a spot high in the chain of command at a large corporation.
Highlights:
He was first in the nation in free throw % and was named All-State along with being named the Dalton Daily Citizen Player of the Year and the North Georgia Tip-Off Club Player of the Year. A true scholar-athlete, Ty held a 4.0 GPA throughout high school.
In high school, he averaged 22 points, seven assist, and four rebounds per game. In his senior season, he averaged 28 points, seven assist, and five rebounds, leading Georgia Class AAAA in scoring.
