GREENVILLE, Ala. — Dalton State women's golf turned in a banner year on the conference stage, highlighted by a clean sweep of the league's top individual awards and a deep list of all-conference and academic honors.
 
Dalton State's Jim McGrew was named Coach of the Year, while Jia Kataria earned Player of the Year and Reese Day collected Freshman of the Year recognition.
 
The Roadrunners' award haul continued with multiple all-conference selections. Kataria and Sara Burger secured First-Team All-Conference honors, underscoring Dalton State's position among the league's elite programs.
 
Dalton State placed four more golfers on the Second-Team All-Conference squad, as Tara Phipps, Tylah James, Ella Ahlqvist, and Day were recognized for their standout seasons.
 
The program's future also shined through, with Day joined by Susana Calvar and Elin Gullbrandsson on the All-Freshman Team, a strong indicator of depth and continued momentum moving forward.
 
In addition to competitive accolades, Dalton State golfers were celebrated for excellence in the classroom. Ahlqvist, Kataria, James, Burger, and Phipps all earned spots on the Athletic Solutions All-Academic Team, reflecting the team's commitment to high achievement on and off the course.
 
Dalton State also received recognition for leadership and sportsmanship, as Phipps was selected to the conference's Champions of Character Team.
 
Kataria's Player of the Year honor and Day's Freshman of the Year award headline a season that showcased Dalton State's balance, top-end performance, meaningful depth, and a student-athlete approach that translated to both all-academic and character-based recognition.
