No. 12 Dalton State Defends Home Turf, Wins Roadrunner Classic at The Farm

ROCKY FACE, Ga. — #12 Dalton State men's golf team defended its home turf at The Farm Golf Club and captured the Roadrunner Classic title with a three-round total of 863 (-1). The Roadrunners set the tone early with a blistering opening round and then stayed composed through shifting momentum across the final 36 holes to finish on top of the team leaderboard.

ROUND 1 RECAP (Team: 282, -6)
Dalton State jumped out front in Round 1, posting a 282 (-6), the low round of the tournament for the Roadrunners, to establish early control at The Farm. The lineup was powered by a pair of 4-under-par rounds as Ben McFadden and Scott Frisby each fired 68s, giving Dalton State immediate separation from the field.
 
Tyler Latimer added a steady 72, while John Brady Knight turned in a 74 to round out the four counting scores. Joe Getley carded an 81.
 
After the five team scorers and the team total, Dalton State's individual competitors posted the following in Round 1:
Dalton State Round 1 Scores: McFadden 68, Frisby 68, Latimer 72, Knight 74, Getley 81 (Team Total: 282, -6)

ROUND 2 RECAP (Team: 291, +3)
Round 2 brought a different challenge, but Dalton State continued to grind, turning in a 291 (+3) to keep itself positioned for a title run heading into the final day. Tyler Latimer and John Brady Knight led the way with matching 72s, keeping the Roadrunners stable through the middle stretch of the event.
 
Ben McFadden followed with a solid 73, and Scott Frisby contributed a 74 among the counting scores. Joe Getley posted an 85.
 
Following the five team members and the team total, the Roadrunners' individuals recorded:
Dalton State Round 2 Scores: Latimer 72, Knight 72, McFadden 73, Frisby 74, Getley 85 (Team Total: 291, +3)

ROUND 3 RECAP (Team: 290, +2)
Dalton State closed the tournament with poise in Round 3, carding a 290 (+2) to finish the week at 863 (-1) and secure the Roadrunner Classic championship. Tyler Latimer delivered the round of the day for the Roadrunners, firing a 69 to anchor the final push and help Dalton State maintain its lead down the stretch.
 
Ben McFadden and John Brady Knight each added 73s, while Scott Frisby posted a 75 as Dalton State's fourth counting score. Joe Getley finished with an 81.
 
After the five team members and the team total, Dalton State's individuals wrapped up Round 3 with:
