Lady Roadrunners Open at Victor Ice Breaker Duals With Two Runner-Up Finishes, Strong Relay

MOUNT BERRY, Ga. — Dalton State Women's Track & Field put together a balanced day at the Victor Ice Breaker Duals, hosted by Berry College in Mount Berry, highlighted by runner-up finishes from Kylie Gray in the 10,000 meters (41:52.42) and Emily Lane in the discus (37.49m / 123'0"). The 4x100-meter relay of Kelsey Eubanks, Taylor Harris, Alexys Hines, and Ellie McGhee added a sharp 51.13, good for a new school record, to cap the Lady Roadrunners' effort across sprints, distance, relays, and throws.

  • 2nd — 10,000m: Kylie Gray — 41:52.42
  • 2nd — Discus: Emily Lane — 37.49m (123'0")
  • 4x100m Relay: Eubanks–Harris–Hines–McGhee — 51.13 (New School Record)
RECAP
SPRINTS & RELAYS
100m – Eubanks led the short sprints in 13.07 for 13th, with Hines (13.64, 26th), McGhee (13.68, 27th), Campbell (13.79, 28th), and Harris (13.88, 30th) packing in tightly.
200m – Eubanks doubled with an 11th-place 26.31, followed by Campbell (27.59, 25th), Harris (28.86, 32nd), and McGhee (29.83, 37th).
4x100m Relay – The quartet of Eubanks, Harris, Hines, and McGhee combined for 51.13, a strong early-season benchmark and momentum-builder for the sprint group.
 
MID-DISTANCE
400m – Harris paced the quarter-milers in 1:06.25 (13th), with Kate Girard close behind at 1:07.98 (16th). Campbell (1:11.43, 18th) and Hines (1:14.41, 20th) rounded out four Roadrunners in the top 20.
800m – Girard returned for a 2:30.20 (15th), while Allison Batts (2:48.60, 27th) and Madison Todd (2:49.39, 28th) added depth in the two-lapper.
1500m – Girard took 20th in 5:30.05, with Todd earning 24th (5:34.95).
 
DISTANCE
5,000m – Batts (20:46.78) and Marlene Paez (20:55.39) both finished inside the top 20, giving Dalton State two steady scorers in the longer distance event.
10,000m – Gray delivered the team's top track finish of the day, 2nd overall in 41:52.42.
 
THROWS
Discus – Lane earned runner-up honors with a best of 37.49m (123'0"), anchoring the field events for the Roadrunners.
