MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Dalton State freshman John Brady Knight has been named the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Men's Golfer of the Week for competition held March 23–29.
 
The Kennesaw, Ga. native collected the first weekly honor of his young collegiate career after finishing runner-up at the BMCU Spring Classic. Knight turned in three straight composed rounds, 72-73-73, to post a two-over 218 across 54 holes, showcasing consistency and poise from start to finish.
 
"JB's week was a model of control and maturity," said Ben Rickett, Dalton State head coach. "Stringing together three nearly identical rounds under tournament pressure is tough at any level, doing it as a freshman is a strong statement."
 
Knight's recognition continues Dalton State's tradition of excellence on the men's side this season, adding another conference honor to the Roadrunners' résumé. His performance at the BMCU Spring Classic reflects the trajectory he's established this spring: fairways, greens, and a steady temperament in final-round contention.
