#4 Dalton State Wraps Up Coastal Georgia Fall Invite With A Top-5 Finish

WAVERLY, Ga. – #4-ranked Dalton State wrapped up play at the 2025 Coastal Georgia Men's Fall Invitational with a fifth-place finish at Sanctuary Cove Golf Club in Waverly on Tuesday.
 
Over the course of three rounds from September 8–9, the Roadrunners posted a team total of +13, navigating a competitive field that saw Reinhardt claim the top spot at -12, followed by Blue Mountain (-3) and host Coastal Georgia (-2). Despite some ups and downs, Dalton State showed resilience in a tightly contested tournament that featured six teams battling across a challenging layout.

RECAP
ROUND 1
Dalton State opened the Coastal Georgia Men's Fall Invitational with a team score of 289 (+1) at Sanctuary Cove. The Roadrunners were led by Tyler Latimer, who carded a strong 2-under-par 70, followed closely by Ben McFadden with a 1-under 71. Joe Getley and John Brady Knight added 74's, respectively, while Scott Frisby rounded out with 75. Dylan John shot even-par 72 as the individual.
 
ROUND 2
Dalton State posted a team score of 294 in the second round at Sanctuary Cove, bringing their two-round total to 583 and securing fourth place behind Reinhardt (Ga.), Coastal Georgia, and Blue Mountain (Miss.). The Roadrunners faced tougher conditions in Round 2, with scores slightly higher scores across the lineup compared to the opening round.
 
Latimer and Frisby led the team with a 1-under 71's, while Ben McFadden added a 75. Getley rounded out team scoring with a 77, with Knight posting 80. Dylan John, competing individually, posted a 76.
