Dalton State Dominates Bryan in 5–0 Shutout


Dalton, Ga. — #1 Dalton State extended its unbeaten streak to 27 games with a commanding 5–0 victory over Bryan (Tenn.) at home, showcasing clinical finishing and relentless pressure from kickoff to the final whistle.
 
First Half Recap
The Roadrunners wasted no time asserting control, striking just 49 seconds into the match. Junior forward Sergej Misic opened the scoring off a setup from Sohail Ebrahimi, igniting a first-half blitz that left Bryan reeling.
 
Misic added two more goals in the 8th and 16th minutes, completing a first-half hat trick with assists from Hugo Martinez, Jesus Huitanda, and Ebrahimi again. Dalton State's fourth goal came in the 33rd minute courtesy of Jonathan Hernandez, who capitalized on a defensive lapse to score unassisted.
 
Dalton State outshot Bryan 9–2 in the opening half and earned three corner kicks while maintaining defensive discipline.
 
Second Half Recap
The Roadrunners didn't let up after the break. Just 90 seconds into the second half, Jesus Huitanda added a fifth goal, assisted by Misic, capping off a dominant offensive display.
 
Dalton State continued to pressure Bryan's back line, generating 10 second-half shots and four more corners. Goalkeeper Bernardo Manzano replaced Nestor Mendez and preserved the clean sheet with a late save in the 88th minute.
 
Despite multiple substitutions and tactical rotations, Dalton State maintained its intensity and composure, closing out the match with poise.
