Dalton State Women's Golf Shines With Three NAIA All-American Selections

DALTON, Ga. – The Dalton State women's golf program continues to make history as three of its standout athletes—Jia Kataria, Sara Burger, and Tylah James—have earned NAIA All-American honors for the 2025 season.
 
Kataria Leads the Way as First-Team All-American
Sophomore sensation Jia Kataria has cemented her place among the nation's elite as a First-Team NAIA All-American. The New Delhi, India native finished the season ranked No. 3 in the NAIA with a stellar 72.3 scoring average across 27 rounds played. Her dominance on the course included four tournament victories, along with five top-five finishes and six top-10 finishes, solidifying her reputation as one of the most consistent and formidable players in the country.
 
Burger Secures Second-Team Honors
Hometown talent Sara Burger, a redshirt sophomore from Dalton, Ga., continues to add to her impressive résumé, earning Second-Team NAIA All-American status after being named to the Third Team in 2024. Burger, ranked No. 23 in the NAIA, posted a 74.4 scoring average over 22 rounds played, capturing one tournament win, three top-five finishes, and three top-10 finishes. Her steady presence and competitive spirit have been integral to Dalton State's success.
 
James Named to the Third Team in Debut Season
Freshman Tylah James has made an immediate impact in her first collegiate season, earning Third-Team NAIA All-American recognition. The Johannesburg, South Africa native ranked No. 50 in the NAIA with a 75.8 scoring average across 27 rounds played. James showcased her potential with six top-15 finishes and two top-10 finishes, demonstrating that she is poised for a promising career with the Roadrunners.
 
With three All-American selections, Dalton State continues to uphold its tradition of excellence in collegiate golf. The achievements of Kataria, Burger, and James reflect the program's commitment to developing top-tier talent and competing at the highest level.
