Lady Roadrunners Finish Season As Nations Eighth Best Team

YPSILANTI, Mich. – #4 Dalton State closed out the final round of the 2025 NAIA Women's Golf National Championship at Eagle Crest Golf Club, securing an 8th-place team finish. The Roadrunners showed consistency and determination, with standout performances across the board. The Lady Birds finished off the long week with a 304 (+16).

RECAP
ROUND 1
Leading the way for the Roadrunners, Ella Ahlqvist posted a team-best 75 (+3), bouncing back from a 39 on the front nine to finish strong with a 36 on the back. Sara Burger followed with a 79 (+7), showing early consistency with a 38 on the front before carding a 41 coming home.
 
Tylah James delivered a round of 80 (+8), overcoming a tough start on the front nine (43) to find rhythm on the back with a 37. Jia Kataria kept things steady with an 81 (+9), showing balance between her 42 on the front and 39 on the back. Hanna Bullard rounded out the team with a 92 (+20), fighting through a 44 on the outward nine before finishing at 48 coming in.
 
ROUND 2
Sara Burger led the charge with a strong 75 (+3), recovering well from a 39 on the front nine to post an impressive 36 coming in. Jia Kataria and Ella Ahlqvist both turned in solid rounds of 76 (+4), keeping their scores balanced with identical 38-38 splits. Ahlqvist showed early command with a 36 on the outward nine before closing with a 40.
 
Tylah James contributed an 80 (+8), navigating the course with a 41 on the front and a 39 on the back. Hanna Bullard rounded out the effort with an 82 (+10), battling through the round with a 42-40 split.
 
ROUND 3
Ella Ahlqvist and Jia Kataria led the charge, each carding solid rounds of even-par 72. Both players navigated the course with consistency, maintaining control and keeping Dalton State within reach of the leaders. Ahlqvist finished the round at +7 overall, while Kataria matched her even-par round to sit at +13 for the tournament.
 
Sara Burger continued to contribute, turning in a round of 75 (+3), displaying strong play through the front nine before encountering some challenges on the back. Hanna Bullard and Tylah James rounded out the team's effort, posting scores of 77 (+5) and 81 (+9) respectively, showing determination throughout the day.
 
ROUND 4
Leading the team, Ella Ahlqvist finished 13th overall, carding a 75 (+3) in the final round to cap off a strong tournament. Sara Burger followed closely, securing 23rd place with another 75 (+3). Jia Kataria landed in 30th place, posting a 77 (+5), while Tylah James and Hanna Bullard rounded out the squad with solid efforts.
 
Dalton State navigated the par-72 layout with resilience, battling through challenging pin positions and demanding hole setups. Their performance throughout the championship reflected their grit and ability to compete at a high level.

#4-ranked Dalton State ends the season with a top-10 team finish amongst the best teams in the country and will set their sights to the Fall when another campaign for a national championship begins.
